Ski area Krippenstein - Obertraun
The "Dachstein West" lift pass offers you a total of 135 kilometres of piste and 53 lift systems. In the ski areas of Gosau, Russbach and Annaberg as well as the Freesports Arena Dachstein Krippenstein and the other areas of Feuerkogel, Karkogel, St. Martin, Lungötz and Dürrnberg, which are connected by free ski buses, you are sure to find your personal favourite run in a fantastic setting. Numerous fun slopes in the ski region promise a varied skiing holiday with lots of fun! In addition to various mogul pistes, steep slopes, slalom and speed runs, the Dachstein West fun park in Russbach also provides plenty of action. Enjoy a unique mountain panorama and a variety of fun on the slopes for beginners, advanced and professionals in the region!
The local ski area, the Freesports Arena "Dachstein-Krippenstein", extends at altitudes of 609 - 2,109 m and offers access to one of the longest descents to the valley in Upper Austria: a total of 9 kilometres of piste with an altitude difference of 1,500 metres from the peak down to the valley. Families, beginners and pleasure skiers are in particularly good hands here.
In fact, the biggest adventure in the "Dachstein-Krippenstein" arena takes place next to the perfectly groomed pistes. The ski area is known as a true Eldorado for freeriders and an absolute hot spot for exciting deep powder snow skiing. The 30 km of off-piste variants Schönberg, Angeralm, Imisl and Eisgrube promise untouched snow and a difference in altitude of an incredible 1,500 metres. Between rocky ridges and forests, the hearts of enthusiastic freeriders quickly beat faster and a feeling of unlimited freedom spreads.
For children, there is a children's ski paradise next to the valley station: the Krippi Park. They can practise their first turns here. A practice lift and a magic carpet take the little ones back to the top. The next generation of freeriders can also gain their first experience with the ski instructors in the Outdoor Leadership Adventure Park.

Around the Krippenstein, rustic huts invite you to round off the day's skiing in a convivial atmosphere - with regional Kitchen, a good atmosphere and wintry cosiness well into the evening hours.
