Ski area Kranjska Gora
With its 20 kilometres of pistes, the Kranjska Gora ski resort is one of the five largest ski resorts in Slovenia and is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts and families. The family-friendly ski resort is easily accessible via the three access points of Kranjska Gora, Podkoren and Rateče and has six chairlifts and nine T-bar lifts.
The Planica Nordic Ski Centre offers a T-bar lift with a practice slope, which is perfect for beginners. Those who want to venture onto more challenging slopes after the practice slope should start in Kranjska Gora, as a beautiful descent down to the valley is possible here. Those looking for even more challenges can also reach red and black pistes from Podkoren via a chairlift. The ski area therefore offers ideal conditions for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities.
The accommodation in Kranjska Gora is very close to the slopes, which is a great advantage for families in particular.

Night skiing Kranjska Gora
Kranjska Gora ski area offers good possibilities for night skiing. Every Moday to Saturday, night slalom by flood light is possible until 19:00 in the evening. If you want to go night skiing, you can use the two 4-person-chair lifts Dolenčev Rut and Kekec.Après ski Kranjska Gora

Furthermore, there are 100 km of winter hiking trails available to discover during the winter.

For beginners, the routes from the peaks of the Karawanks would be recommended, whereas advanced ski tour enthusiasts could consider taking on the ridges of the Julian Alps. The most popular routes are the "Mojstrovka", "Kotovo sedlo" and "Za Cmirom".
