Ski area Tignes/Val d'Isère
The ski areas of Tignes and Val d'Isère each offer 150 km of varied pistes, which are connected via the Bellevarde (2,827 m). From Tignes, you not only have a great view of the mountain lake Lac du Chevril. The area also offers a great playground for beginners who want to take their first turns on the Col du Palet and explore the green and blue pistes above Tignes-Le Lac. Demanding skiers, on the other hand, will find their happiness in the glacier ski area on the Grande Motte, where fabulous views await you at an altitude of 3,456 metres. Secured and controlled deep snow slopes in the Vallon de la Sache also make the ski area a paradise for freeriders and off-piste skiers. Here you can conquer a difference in altitude of 1,198 metres over a length of 2.8 km. A special experience is the Tignes snowpark, which offers special tables, slides and jumps for beginners as well as action for advanced and professional skiers.
The Val d'Isère area also offers you access to 150 kilometres of piste, with many wide pistes of an easy level, especially on the plateau of the Pissaillas glacier. The ski area therefore also bears the "Famille Plus" seal of quality, meaning that the local descents are particularly suitable for families and there is plenty of childcare on offer. However, there are also some red pistes and challenging ski routes, including on Solaise, where the descent to the valley is particularly challenging. At the Pointe du Montet (3,428 m), the skiing fun on the best surface lasts particularly long, with good snow conditions from June to September. The ski area's good infrastructure also includes free Wi-Fi hotspots at several mountain and valley stations.
The areas of Tignes and Val d'Isère are perfectly connected and promise pure fun on the slopes!
Après ski Tignes
Skiing may be the top priority in Tignes, but après ski is certainly not neglected here either! A variety of bars, cosy restaurants and several discos take centre stage in Tignes. The "Grizzly's Bar" with its arctic atmosphere is a real "in" place.
For sporting activities, there is a natural ice rink in Le Lac. Afterwards, you can use the swimming pool at "Le Lagon". If you're looking for something out of the ordinary, you can go ice diving in the lake in Tignes. A special sporting highlight has also just opened: "Tignespace" is a modern indoor sports and conference centre with countless possibilities: Tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, handball, badminton and hockey courts, squash courts, a climbing wall, an athletics area - with 3,500 square metres of space for sporting activities alone, it leaves little to be desired.
Snowpark: Tignes - Val d'Isère snow park Tignes
With the "Tignes - Val d'Isère" lift pass, you have access to an extensive range of fun sports. Let's start with the "Val d'Isère Snowpark". The park is located at an altitude of 2,500 metres between Val d'Isère and Tignes, close to the "Mont Blanc" chair lift on the Bellevarde. There are three different lines here, one green, one red and one black, with rails, kickers and boxes to suit all requirements. There is also a boardercross course with funslope elements at the Marmottes lifts in Val d'Isère.
You can continue to the ski area of Tignes, which you can also reach with your lift pass. Here you have access to two different snow parks: the large "DC Park", located at an altitude of 2,400 m - 2,600 m, and the smaller "Gliss'Park", located directly in the resort. A wide variety of kickers and rails await you in the DC Park, with different levels of difficulty, inviting everyone to put their skills to the test. The park also includes a 1.2 km long boardercross. The smaller Gliss Park offers equally good practice opportunities for both beginners and advanced riders. Here you can ski various parcour courses, such as a boardercross, an obstacle course and a parallel slalom. Whether you are an amateur or a pro, there are plenty of obstacles and kickers for everyone.
