Together Tignes and Val d'Isère offer more than 28 km of cross-country skiing runs. In both areas you will find trails where you can take dogs on your trip. Val d'Isère also offers skating runs. A high-altitude run can be found at the Lac d'Ouilette (2,560 m). The 3 km long track can be accessed for a small fee, an investment which is worth paying, not only for advanced cross-country skiers.
At the glacier in Tignes (2,900 m), there is a 6 km long high-altitude run which can only be used in summer and autumn. Because of its high degree of difficulty this tour is only advisable for experienced skiers. Another challenging run is the 6.5 km long "Manchet" in Val d'Isère. However in total the trails can be categorised as easy to intermediate.
