Ski area Plešivec (Pleßberg) - Abertamy
The "Plessberg-Abertamy" lift pass gives you access to around 11 km of pistes on the Plešivec (Plessberg) in the Ore Mountains. The ski area was opened in 2013 and is one of the largest ski areas in the Bohemian Ore Mountains alongside Klinovec. The pistes lie between 707 m and 1,026 m and are therefore below the tree line. Most of the descents lead through romantic forest aisles. To guarantee the reliability of snow, the pistes can be artificially snowed. The predominantly blue pistes are ideal for beginners. However, the "Hana", "Milena" and "Aida" descents have somewhat steeper passages and are therefore marked blue-red or red-black.
The longest descent by far is the blue piste "Daniela" (no. 7), which leads over sections a (3.2 km) and b (1 km) to the valley station of the 4-seater chair lift. In the lower area there is a large children's park with four magic carpets, a practice slope with various animal figures and other obstacles. The gastronomic offer in the ski area includes two restaurants and bistros. The "Ski Bar" on the "Renata" piste (no. 6) sells drinks and snacks. The "U Dostyho" après ski bar at the valley station is the perfect place to round off a day's skiing.

Night skiing Plešivec (Pleßberg) - Abertamy
Night skiing is also very popular in the Czech Republic, with night skiing possible in the Bohemian Ore Mountains. The Plessberg ski area has around 8 km of floodlit pistes, making it the largest night skiing area in the Ore Mountains. Most of the descents at Plessberg are floodlit in the evening. Night skiing takes place from 6 pm to 10 pm and a whole 7.7 km of pistes are floodlit for night skiing. During operating hours, three lifts are in operation: two 4-seater chair lifts on Plessberg and the tow lift in the valley area of Abertamy. The mountain restaurants in the ski area offer large sun terraces and umbrella bars where you can take a break and linger. At the valley station of the 4-seater chair lift is the "U Dostyho", a classic-style après ski bar that invites you to stop off in the afternoon. It is also open until 10 pm during night skiing.
Other leisure activities such as winter hiking or tobogganing are also on the programme in Nová Role. The small forest lake south of the centre is perfect for a walk along the shore. For even more action, it's worth taking a trip to the surrounding area, where there are many other activities on offer, from tobogganing and ice skating to dog sledding or snowmobiling, snowkiting and ski jumping.
There are a few shops and restaurants in the cosy village centre, but if you're looking for more gastronomic choices, we recommend a trip to nearby Karlovy Vary. There are numerous restaurants, bars and bowling alleys for a varied evening. The famous spa town is also home to a wealth of spa facilities, rehabilitation centres, thermal baths and spas that promote well-being and health. In addition to active winter sports, the Karlovy Vary region therefore focuses on holistic health promotion on holiday.
