Ski area Ještěd

The Ještěd ski area is located right on the outskirts of Liberec and offers a wide range of activities on a total of around 11 kilometres of piste. Four free parking spaces are available at the various ascent points. A tram takes skiers from one parking space directly to the Salka chair lift, which leads up to Černý vrch. Another parking space is located directly next to the modern gondola, which takes you to the highest point on Ještěd at around 1,000 metres above sea level. The mountain restaurant and hotel at the peak is one of Liberec's landmarks. The top of the modern tower rises high into the sky and also functions as a television tower.

In the area of the gondola and chair lifts, there are mainly relatively challenging red and one black descent, and only red pistes lead back down to the parking spaces in the valley! From the Skalka chairlift, however, you can also reach a somewhat flatter area with several blue, beautifully wide descents. The ski area's infrastructure is modern and leaves nothing to be desired with eleven descents, almost 100 per cent snowmaking capability, ski schools, ski hire, various huts and snack bars, a toboggan run and a floodlit night run.

Night skiing Ještěd

The family-friendly Ještěd area is also a popular night skiing area. The manageable piste is located on the outskirts of Liberec and is served by the Pod lany F-10 t-bar lift. The red descent no. 1 "F-10" is around 400 metres long, is groomed daily and is pleasant for young and old to ski, even under floodlights. The extended operating hours during night skiing run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., thus extending the skiing day into the night. As the night ski slope is located right next to the lift ticket offices near the valley station, a cosy stop-off is possible at any time during and after the evening skiing fun.

Snowpark Ještěd: Ještěd Snowpark

The Ještěd ski area has a pretty decent snowpark on the piste plateau by the Plane 2-seater chair lift. There are around a dozen obstacles ranging from simple boxes, rails and jibs to kickers. There are beginner, medium and pro lines so that everyone can get their money's worth. With simple obstacles such as rainbow boxes and flat boxes, beginners are gently introduced to the fun of shredding. Advanced beginners can try out the kink box or smaller kickers. Finally, big jumps and a wall ride await the experts. The park is also enhanced with special obstacles such as tyres, tree trunks and a small tank. Conclusion: Every freestyler is sure to have fun here!
