Ski area St. Jakob im Defereggental - Brunnalm
The Brunnalm ski area, which is easily accessible from St. Jakob, also has a lot to offer with its 23 kilometres of piste. Whether you're a beginner who prefers to have fun on the two long descent to the valley or prefer to put your skills to the test on the sporty descent from the Mooserberg 3-seater chair lift mountain station down into the valley - everyone will find what they're looking for here.
The WISBI ("How fast am I") course in the Brunnalm ski area is also an ideal meeting point for a fun and exciting day of skiing with the family. Away from mass tourism and surrounded by sun-drenched slopes, nothing stands in the way of a perfect holiday! The ski area also has several Wi-Fi hotspots. At the end of your skiing holiday, you can use the Skiline to track your altitude and downhill kilometres and show them off at home.
Après ski St. Jakob im Defereggental - Brunnalm
A special tip is the Sportalm Kuhstall at the valley station. This rustic après ski hut combines a lively bar with a cosy seating area. It is usually very well frequented, which speaks for the atmosphere: here you can meet other winter sports enthusiasts, order a drink and enjoy the company after a day on the piste.
Also at the valley station, next to the Fraggele, is the Zischhitte. This ski bar opens in the afternoon and offers another good option for après ski. If you fancy a drink, music and a nice chat after your descent, you'll find the perfect setting here.
You don't have to miss out on refreshment stops in the ski area itself either: There is an umbrella bar at the Mooseralm, and several cosy places to sit in the sun or warm up in the warmth await at the huts. All in all, St. Jakob im Defereggental - Brunnalm offers a down-to-earth, rustic après ski experience with a focus on a cosy atmosphere instead of big parties
Snowpark St. Jakob im Defereggental - Brunnalm: Snowpark
St. Jakob in Defereggen Valley will prove to be a real highlight for all those whose legs tingle when they think about the height and the risk! The village has long been an insider tip for snowboarders and freeskiers and is complemented by a spectacular freestyle paradise. The snowpark is particularly versatile and spacious and offers the opportunity to let your creativity run wild with various obstacles such as ski jumps and railings. A "dedicated" lift also ensures that no adrenaline junkie loses any time unnecessarily. The kids' area also gives young freestylers the opportunity to try out their first tricks and jumps.
If you can't get enough of wild riding late into the night, a separate area has been built that is still available to rookies after the lifts have closed and ensures a good crowd at the "Top Spot", the base station at 1,750 metres above sea level. Here you can really celebrate your successful day! Have you also got the desire to immerse yourself in the scene?
