Would you prefer cross-country skiing to alpine skiing? No problem. The entire Innsbruck region has a network of around 120 kilometres of cross-country trails. The free cross-country bus takes you comfortably from one route to the next. The routes lead through almost urban areas, idyllic holiday villages, high alpine landscapes right up to the glacier at the end of the valley.
From Igls, you can reach the Mutters-Natters cross-country skiing centre around 10 kilometres away. The snow-covered cross-country trail is 7.7 kilometres long, covers 118 metres in altitude and is mostly easy - ideal for pleasure cross-country skiers and families.
The cross-country trails in Rinn, Obsteig, Mutters/Natters and Sellrain have been awarded the cross-country quality seal and guarantee the best preparation and well-groomed routes.
