Ski area Muttereralm - Mutters/Götzens
Experienced skiers can choose the Götzner descent. It was used as a substitute run at the 1964 and 1976 Olympic Games and is one of the most beautiful forest runs in Austria. There is also a slalom course from Pfriemesköpfl, which attracts professional teams from all over the world every year. Several snow-making facilities ensure reliable snow conditions.
The children's and beginners' area is located at 1,620 metres at the top station of the Muttereralmbahn cable car and is particularly snow-sure. In addition to the Almboden t-bar lift, which is ideal for practising, the ski school's fairytale forest is particularly popular with younger guests. Cosy huts in the ski area and the restaurant at the mountain station invite you to take a relaxing break.
Want even more variety? Then the Axamer Lizum and Mutterer Alm combined ticket is just the thing for you! With the lift pass upgrade, you can also use approx. 31 kilometres of piste and around 9 km of ski routes between 1,560 and 2,340 m altitude in the Axamer Lizum ski area! The Axamer Lizum is a legendary winter sports resort, which became world-famous as the venue for the Alpine skiing competitions of the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympics. Thanks to its excellent location and 136 snow cannons, which can cover 85% of the pistes with snow, it is considered to have guaranteed snow from December to April. Descents down to the parking space are almost always possible.
Après ski Muttereralm - Mutters/Götzens
In addition to the many party and leisure options in Götzens, the Magic Mountain hotels and clubs offer you a varied programme. These include snowshoe hiking, tobogganing, Zipfelbob, ice skating, winter torchlight hikes and ski races with award ceremonies.
With its fatbike and snowbike route, the Mutteralm-Mutters/Götzens ski area is also the first ski area in Austria with a permanent piste for this sporting highlight. The route leads along the FIS track down to the valley. A great experience for anyone who wants to conquer the slope on more than just skis! For those who prefer to relax in the evening, a trip to the leisure centre in Axams is well worthwhile. There you will find an indoor pool with sauna area.
If that's not enough, we recommend a trip to Innsbruck, which is only approx. 10 km away. In the capital of Tyrol, you will find a rich cultural and entertainment programme that leaves nothing to be desired.
Snowpark Muttereralm - Mutters/Götzens: Snowpark
The Muttereralm ski area does not have its own snowpark. In the Axamer Lizum, however, there is a snowpark pearl in the Innsbruck region. The Golden Roofpark is located at the exit of the Karleiten lift. Here, freestyle fans can let off steam on kickers, boxes and tubes. Both beginners and advanced riders will have fun here.
Of course, there is even more freestyle action on offer in the region: for example in the Nordkette Skylinepark on the Seegrube or in the fun park on Rangger Köpfl.
