Ski area Hohsaas - Saas-Grund

With your "Destination Pass" (see ski region), you have access to the entire 146 kilometres of pistes in the Saas Valley - including the glacier ski area in Saas-Fee. The ski region has pistes of every level of difficulty.

The "Kreuzboden" cable car gives you direct access from Saas-Grund to the Kreuzboden-Hohsaas ski area at an altitude of 1,560 to 3,142 metres. Here you have 29.5 kilometres of pistes at your disposal. A total of 7 modern lifts provide access to the predominantly intermediate pistes. The longest piste "Hohsaas-Saas-Grund" is 8 km long. The glacier slope "Hohsaas-Kreuzboden" (800 m difference in altitude) demands a lot even from experts. Children, on the other hand, dare to take their first steps in Snowland.

Night skiing Saas Grund

The ever-popular night skiing is also possible in the Saas Valley. On selected dates or by appointment, the Ziebel village lift in the hamlet of "Unter dem Berg" in Saas-Grund is put into operation and offers you a small night skiing area. Between December and February, the T-bar lift there serves a blue run, which is illuminated by appointment.

Après ski Saas Grund

Even though Saas-Grund is not the well-known Saas-Fee, there is of course a party here too. You can round off a long day on the piste with live music, billiards and darts at the "Platzhirsch". If you like it a little quieter, you can indulge in national or international specialities in one of the many restaurants.

However, the possibilities for leisure activities are far from exhausted. For example, you should not miss a ride on one of the longest toboggan runs in the country: 11 km long from Kreuzboden down to Saas-Grund. On the village's artificial ice rink you can not only skate but also, if you are lucky, watch one of the home games of the EHC Saastal. For climbing fans, there is both a bouldering cellar and the opportunity to go ice climbing.

Snowpark: Snowpark Hohsaas Saas Grund

The Saas Valley's ski areas are all extremely snow sure and offer a wide variety of different pistes, satisfying all skills. Not only that: two snow parks attract freestylers, no matter if beginner of professional. Below the Kreuzboden, in the ski area Saas-Grund, lies the fun park "Kreuzboden". A freestyler's heart will skip a few beats faster as they try out the different kickers and rails. The junior park "Sandiger Boden" is also available.

The Morenia area above Saas-Fee, at 2600 m altitude, features the Freestyle Park "Morenia" with various kicker lines, boxes, rails, a quarter pipe and a half pipe. There is a chill-out zone to take a break, too.

Beginners will also appreciate the beginner's park at the Stafelwald. Here you can have a go on three different lines with different difficulties.
