Ski area Sulden am Ortler (Solda all'Ortles)
The ski area in Sulden impresses with its reliability of snow from November to May and its manageability. 44 varied kilometres of piste are open to you on the glacier - for every level of ability. 11 lift systems take you up the mountain, including one of the largest aerial cableways in the Alps. The 10-seater Rosim cable car takes you comfortably to the Kanzel ski area. Alongside Langenstein, this is particularly suitable for experts. The panoramic slope, which is now also accessible, leads over 2.5 km and 650 metres in altitude to the valley station of the cable car.
Beginners will get their money's worth on the two practice lifts at the valley station and on the sunny slope. And even the offer for freestyle fans is impressive: In addition to the fun park at the Madritsch hut, there is also a permanent boardercross course. Freeriders, on the other hand, will find great deep snow runs on the Schöntaufspitze.
By the way, parents in Sulden don't have to worry about their little guests either: they are in good hands in the Cevedale children's area or the Yeti Club, where they can enjoy a varied daily programme.
For even more variety on the slopes, it's worth taking a trip to the nearby Furkel - Trafoi ski area. There you will find another 8 kilometres of piste with 4 lifts.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.05% or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.Après ski Sulden am Ortler (Solda all'Ortles)
The Ski Alm Sulden right by the valley station invites you to end your day's skiing with live music from around 15:00 in a cosy deckchair. In the village itself, the Bar Café Ilse, just 100 metres from the valley station, provides an après ski atmosphere. Open daily and with live music twice a week, it is the perfect place for a relaxed end to the day. However, if you're looking for big party nights, look in vain in Sulden - the place remains small, informal and cosy.
Snowpark Sulden am Ortler (Solda all'Ortles): Sulden fun park
