Ski vacations Siusi allo Sciliar - skiing on Europe's largest alp!
Siusi allo Sciliar
Siusi allo Sciliar (German: "Seis am Schlern") is situated at 1,000 m on a high plateau between Castelrotto and Völs, with the jags of the Schlern riseingmajestically in the background. The tradition-filled tourist resort is a starting point for the newly constructed panorama lift to Seiser Alm. Due to the perfect connection into the ski area, the resort enjoys wide popularity with winter sports fans; in spite of this, Siusi allo Sciliar has been able to retain its original character. The idyllic mountain village is distinguished by both of the churches and three old castle ruins.Sporty alternatives to skiing include the ice rink and numerous winter hiking trails in the area, as well as numerous cross-country ski tracks. On a carriage ride, covered in blankets, guests can let themselves be enchanted by the Seiser Alm's winter landscape. You can let the day come to an end in one of the many cosy mountain lodges.
Alpe di Siusi
In the heart of South Tyrol, directly at the connection to Val Gardena, is the wide high plateau of Alpe di Siusi, with its diverse resorts. This alp is the queen of Europe's highest alp: it covers 52 km², stretching from 1,060 m - 2,245 m between the imposing peaks of Langkofel and Plattkofel, Goldknopf, Puflatsch and Schlern! As such, Alpe di Siusi is among the most famous winter sports and hiking areas in the entire alpine region. Despite its numerous visitors, the resorts have retained their traditional charm with pretty farm houses and towering church towers. The ski area is most easily reached with the Umlauf lift from the edge of Siusi allo Sciliar. Alpe di Siusi offers 60 kilometres of piste and, together with Val Gardena, a ski paradise with 175 kilometres of piste!Travel Siusi allo Sciliar
