Ski vacations Lavarone – pleasure skiing and the Trentino way of life!
Lavarone
On a sunny high-altitude plateau in Trentino lies the community of Lavarone. It is made up of 19 "fractions" counting a total of 1,000 inhabitants. In the winter, the villages are surrounded by snow-white meadows and powdered forests and mountains from which many diverse, partially wooded, pistes go off. In Lavarone, that typical Italian way of life can be felt in every corner of this place that is known e.g. for its traditional cheese specialities. Moreover, Lavarone and the neighbouring Lusern and Folgaria are among the places where the Cimbrian language is still spoken. Tourist attractions include Fort Belvedere, which played an important role as a fortress in WWI and now poses as a war museum. Just above the fractions Bertoldi and Laghetto lie the psites of Lavarone, which make up the interconnected ski area "Skitour di Forti" together with Folgaria and Luserna. The high-altitude plateau which gave the place its name (engl: ledge) also offers a wide range of cross-country possibilities with the centre Coe-Pass and Millegroobe. Whichever way it is you prefer to spend your holidays, Lavarone awaits its guests with a diverse offer of sports, culture and hospitality.Trentino
Trentino is a Northern Italian province bordering South Tyrol in the North, Venetia in the East and south and Lombardy in the West. This very mountainous region is dotted with several majestic 3000 m peaks, one of which is the Monte Cevedale (3,769 m). The Monte Cevedale is known as the high ski tours mountain of the Italian Eastern Alps as you can actually climb right up to the top when the weather allows it. The region Trentino looks back on a unique historical and cultural development and even today this manifests itself as it is home to the 1000-year-old middle high German language "Zimbra". Even though this language is now only spoken by a minority it is still recognizable in many local designations. Trentino has lots of beautiful and rare things to offer in the winter. The combination of snow and sun gives this mountain landscape an extraordinary charm. Traditional customs, typical Italian cuisine and Italian flair exist next to modern hotels, pistes and lifts.Travel Lavarone
