Belvedere/Col Rodella/Ciampac/Buffaure - Canazei/Campitello/Alba/Pozza di Fassa Ski area
From Canazei, you have direct access to the Belvedere/Col Rodella ski areas, featuring 32 kilometres of slopes as well as fun parks and snow parks with boardercross. In the Kinderland, little ones can take their first attempts at skiing and are well looked after at the nearby nursery. The slopes, which are mostly of medium difficulty, are easy to navigate and invite you to enjoy skiing on sun-drenched slopes. Numerous sun terraces along the slopes are perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun!
For those in good physical condition, the 6.8 km descent from Sass Becé to Canazei is highly recommended, whilst freeriders will find fantastic deep-snow terrain at Sass Pordoi.
With the Dolomiti Superski lift pass (subject to an additional charge), you can even access 1,200 km of slopes and 450 lifts across 12 ski areas! This includes the Sellaronda, the 40 km day-long circuit around the Sella massif by ski and lift, which you can join directly from Canazei.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.05% or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.Night skiing Belvedere/Col Rodella/Ciampac/Buffaure - Canazei/Campitello/Alba/Pozza di Fassa
There are some ski areas in Italy that light up their pistes in the evening, inviting you to ski by floodlight. One of these night skiing areas is Val di Fassa-Carezza, where the 1.6 km long Aloch piste in the Pozza di Fassa ski stadium is floodlit two evenings a week for night skiing. Numerous ski and snowboard races have already been held on this challenging piste. It is therefore more suitable for experts, even in the dark. With a valid multi-day ski pass (Val di Fassa-Carezza, Dolomiti Super Ski or Valle Silver), night skiing is free of charge. Otherwise, the night ski pass can be purchased on site.Après ski in Belvedere/Col Rodella/Ciampac/Buffaure - Canazei/Campitello/Alba/Pozza di Fassa
For those looking to relax after several kilometres of piste, we recommend the Eghes Wellness Centre. Inspired by Roman thermal baths, there are a variety of different baths here to relax with the help of the therapeutic effects of the water after a strenuous day of skiing.
For leisure activities away from the pistes, there is a wide range of activities to choose from. Whether it's leisurely winter and snowshoe hikes through the countryside, kite flying and paragliding for the more adventurous or exciting climbing on the ice, there's something for everyone here!
Snowpark Belvedere/Col Rodella/Ciampac/Buffaure - Canazei/Campitello/Alba/Pozza di Fassa: Dolomiti Park
The "Val di Fassa-Carezza" ski area is a true paradise for freestylers. You have the choice between three fun parks. The Dolomiti Park is located in the centre of the Belvedere ski area. Various kicker lines - for beginners, advanced and pros - are available here, as well as a jibbing area with boxes, rails and corners, a slopestyle course and a big airbag.
From Pozza, for example, you can quickly reach the Buffaure Park. It is located on the Pozza-Buffare cable car and offers a unique view of the Catinaccio group. Freestylers can let off steam here on various boxes, rails, tanks, kickers and a wallride.
In Carezza, Welschnofen's local ski area, the Carezza snow park can be reached quickly using the modern lifts. A "bouncy castle for free spirits" awaits on the Tschein piste with a total of three lines: the Family Fun Line for beginners, the Easy Line for advanced riders and the Medium Line for pros. The latter is not only peppered with metre-high kickers, but also has a 9-metre-long steel tube - a DFD tank - for sliding that is unrivalled in South Tyrol!
