A landscape blanketed in deep snow, glistening snow and crisp, clear air – in and around Schöneck, cross-country skiers will find a true paradise. Right next to the IFA Holiday Park, you can join the network of groomed trails, totalling around 30 km, which wind through the snow-covered winter woodland around the Hohe Reuth.
The trails are groomed by machine and are therefore of the highest quality. Furthermore, Schöneck is the starting point for the famous Kammloipe, which runs for just under 36 kilometres to Johanngeorgenstadt in the Ore Mountains. The Kammloipe runs through the Ore Mountains/Vogtland Nature Park and is one of the longest, most beautiful and most snow-reliable cross-country trails in Germany. It has also been awarded the "Excellent Trail" distinction.
