Ski vacations Bad Wörishofen - Enjoy winter at the Kneipp spa!
Bad Wörishofen
Bad Wörishofen is a picturesque small town in the Allgäu at an altitude of 630 metres. The more than 17,000 inhabitants are particularly proud not only of the idyllic landscape and traditional architecture, but above all of the fact that their town can officially call itself a Kneipp health resort. Pastor Sebastian Kneipp came to Bad Wörishofen in 1855 and left his mark on the town with his healing methods. The Kneipp Museum was built in his honour in the Dominican convent, where the naturopath worked until his death in 1897. Even today, thermal baths and other wellness facilities attract thousands of guests to the town every year. In addition, well-tended parks such as the spa gardens, where you can admire one of the largest rose gardens in Germany with over 8,000 rose bushes and more than 530 varieties, invite you to stroll and linger. The town's historic buildings also include the Sebastianeum spa centre, where visitors can visit Kneipp's consulting room, among other things.Allgäu
The Allgäu is part of the region Oberschwaben and stretches from the south-western part of Bavaria to the south-eastern part of Baden-Württemberg and partly along the borders of Austria. It is situated right between lower Alps and the Bavarian hill country. With an altitude of up to 2,657 m the Allgäu offers the Nebelhorn as the highest and most well-known mountain of this area. It is not for nothing that this is one of the most popular tourist areas and main winter sports regions within Germany. For Alpine skiers there is a large offer of well-prepared pistes - both for beginners, as well for more experienced winter sports fans. Many of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow and offer reliability for skiing until the end of March. After a day on the pistes you can meet up in the many huts, cafés and pubs or even spend the night in the local clubs.Travel Bad Wörishofen
