Ski area Les Sybelles

"Les Sybelles" (1,100 - 2,620 m) offers 310 versatile kilometres of piste as one of the biggest ski regions in France with mostly easy to medium levels of difficulty, as well as 68 lifts and altogether six interconnected ski areas. The regions at the bottom of l'Ouillon (2,431 m) that offer a great variety are called Le Corbier, Saint Sorlin d'Arves, St. Jean d'Arves, La Toussuire, Les Bottières and St. Colomban des Villards.

The massive area of pistes offers ideal conditions for beginners and families with children because the numerous blue pistes arrange for a diverse introduction into the skiing pleasures for the less practised. The mostly blue pistes of Le Corbier bottom out levelly so that beginners or children can reach the village without difficulty at any time. Experienced skiers will also enjoy the 200 km of red and just under 22 km of black pistes.

In addition to many family friendly ski runs, Les Sybelles also offers very good deep powder snow conditions, amongst others, at l'Ouillon, Bellard and Grand Truc. Those who like to let loose on the prepared pistes will have fun on the black piste "Casse Pipe". Freestylers can run riot in the snowpark, and night-skiers can enjoy two floodlight pistes.

Before the start of the 2022/23 winter season, the ski area recently invested a lot of money in its first 10-seater gondola lift, the Côte du Bois. The lift replaces the Côte du Bois 4-seater chairlift of the same name and connects the valley area of La Toussuire with the middle area, where the connection is made via further lifts to Ouillon and Le Corbier.

Night skiing Saint Sorlin (Les Sybelles)

Skiers and snowboarders who want to continue skiing after a long day on the pistes can do so at night skiing in La Toussuire. There, night skiing under floodlights is offered every Tuesday, from 17:15 during the Christmas holidays and from 17:45 from mid-February to mid-March, on an easy 300-metre piste at the Petite Verdette lift. The same applies to the Lièvre piste in St Jean d'Arves. There, the downhill run is floodlit over a length of 500 m, and always on Thursdays during the French school holidays, from 18:00 to 20:00.

Après ski Saint Sorlin (Les Sybelles)

Apres ski in Saint Sorlin is held rather quiet. After an exciting day on the piste you can let the evening come to a cosy end with delicious Savoyard food, such as Raclette or a cheese fondue. If you still are not beat after that, you can visit the pub "L'Avalanche" and enjoy a round of billiards or darts, while party animals can shake a leg in the disco "D'Sybelles Club" with a few great cocktails in hand.

A day away from the piste is well spent in Saint Sorlin d'Arves as there are many leisure activities on offers. No matter if you are looking to go snowshoe hiking or dog-seld riding, speeding through the snow on Quads or going paragliding, the numerous activity offers seem to never come to an end! Or visit one of the local dairy production farms and experience the art of cheese-making.

Snowpark: Snowpark Sy'X Park Saint Sorlin (Les Sybelles)

In the ski area "Les Sybelles", the "Sy'X Park" awaits every type of freestyler. Located at the L'Ouillon in La Tussier, between 2,100 - 2,370 m altitude, lays the largest park in the ski area. Red and black modules are geared to more experienced riders and pros. Huge boxes, tables and kickers demand some creativity and skill. Further there is also the "Easy Park" with some blue and green modules for beginners. Of course there is also a boardercross run available.
