Ski area Méribel

The cable car takes you from Brides les Bains up to the famous winter sports resort of Méribel (1,450 m) in the "Domaine Vallée de Méribel" ski area. The Méribel ski area adjoining Brides les Bains has 150 kilometres of its own pistes and 42 lifts. There are 48 blue pistes, 28 red pistes and 7 black pistes, offering a challenge for all skiing abilities. There are also two snow parks, including the Elements Park, which is divided into three areas, and 28 kilometres of untracked ski tours for snowboarders, freestylers and outback skiers. In 1992, the downhill races of the Olympic Games were held here, as evidenced by the "Compagnol", the longest downhill run in the area at 3.6 kilometres. For advanced skiers, the 1 km "Les Bosses" piste, which covers 350 metres in altitude and is considered one of the most difficult runs in the region, is still highly recommended. Méribel is also connected to the world-famous "Les 3 Vallées" ski region, which is one of the largest ski areas in the world with 600 kilometres of pistes (see ski region).

With the "Les 3 Vallées App", you can also find out about piste and ski lift openings/closings as well as the local weather at any time. Would you like to meet up for lunch at the hut? Use the app to share your location and see exactly where your friends and family are in the ski area. You also receive information and safety notifications directly on your smartphone and, in the event of an accident, the nearest emergency services can be alerted with just one click.

Après ski Brides les Bains

Méribel offers a wide range of restaurants, ski huts and discos around the ski area, in which to round off the day's skiing. Those wanting to party will find the largest range of après ski bars in Val Thorens; there's a lot going on in the Malaysia and the Underground. Après ski in Brides les Bains is more on the quiet side; however, you will still find enough places to go out and to party. A highlight is the local casino, where you can play poker, black jack, roulette and la boule. Situated in the casino, there is a disco, restaurant, bar and a pub. The town also has quite a number of restaurants and bars which, in comparison to the tourist areas of the ski region, are at a sensible price level.

Snowpark: DC Area 43 Snowpark Brides les Bains

Your lift pass gives you access to Méribel's unique snowparks. The "Elements Park", offers various lines for freestylers at all levels of difficulty. Especially beginners can look forward to test their skills on several obstacles like boxes, rails, jibs, as well as a boardercross track.

Located at "Plattiere 2" lift is another special highlight of the region: DC Shoes Europe decided to create a "DC Area 43 Snowpark" also in Méribel. They were supported by Hill Technics Team and, among others, the European X-Games Superpipe Shaper Benjamin Ravanel. Located on an altitude of 2,300 m and with a length of 1,200 m, the park offers 40 rails and 45 kickers in various shapes in the levels green, blue, red and black. Additionally there is a separate jib zone, a bag jump, a boardercross trail as well as two halfpipes, one of which is only suitable for experts. Both parks let you record your creativity, so that you can watch your tricks online. The park's Chill Zone lets you relax while listening to good tunes.
