Ski area Avoriaz
Avoriaz offers the most and most varied descent in the region! The wide and easy pistes are perfect for beginners and families. Experienced skiers will get their money's worth on the "Crozats Snowcross" with a length of 3 km and a difference in altitude of 1,000 metres. This is one of the steepest descents in the entire ski region. In the immediate vicinity is the legendary "Mur Suisse", the "Swiss Wall", which is extremely steep and only suitable for particularly good skiers. In the centre of Avoriaz, the youngest winter sports enthusiasts are best catered for in the Kinderland.
With the "Les Portes du Soleil" lift pass, you even have 580 kilometres of piste at your disposal. These can be reached via direct connections to Avoriaz or the Swiss resorts of Torgon and Morgins (see ski region).
Après ski Avoriaz
Those who prefer a quieter evening can spend it at the cinema or in one of the many restaurants serving Savoyard specialities such as fondue or raclette. As an alternative to a day on the piste, Avoriaz offers a wide range of options: You can try out ice climbing, skydiving and skidoo tours or take it more leisurely with activities such as tobogganing, ice skating and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Unusual fat bike tours are also on offer.
The "Aquariaz" with its 2,400 m² of space will delight young and old alike. There are various fun pools, jacuzzis, a half-pipe slide and a small river. So boredom is out of the question in Avoriaz.
Snowpark Avoriaz: The Stash
With a total of eleven snowparks and four boardercross routes, the "Les Portes du Soleil" ski area is a paradise for freestylers. Four snowparks alone are located in the Avoriaz area. One particular highlight awaits freestylers here: "The Stash" snowpark, which is integrated into nature and features obstacles made of trees and wood through the Lindarets forest. The park, sponsored by Burton, awaits you with a range of exciting natural obstacles. Tables, jibs, wall rides, kickers etc. - many different obstacles give this special location just the right kick. It is the first ecological snowpark in Europe with 100 per cent natural obstacles.
The "La Chapelle" snowpark is located close to the village and is particularly suitable for freestyle beginners and slightly more advanced riders. With difficulty levels of green, blue and red, it offers good basic equipment for practising. It offers various kicker lines, rails and boxes. The "Nami Park" snowpark, formerly known as "Arare", is more for experienced and advanced riders. In addition to large kickers, rails and boxes, you will find a big airbag here, which offers perfect training opportunities. There is also a small half-pipe.
The "Lil'Stash", on the other hand, offers youngsters plenty of space to let off steam. Smaller obstacles are available for them.
