Cross-country Czech Republic

Cross-country skiing is one of the most popular sports in the Czech Republic. So it's hardly surprising that cross-country skiing enthusiasts will find an extensive and well-groomed network of trails in the low mountain ranges, where snow is guaranteed. Most of the routes have one thing in common: they are perfectly signposted. Many cross-country trails lead through quiet snow-covered forests and over mountain ridges with impressive panoramic views.

Around Harrachov and Špindlerův Mlýn, there is a network of cross-country trails covering over 100 km, ideal for both beginners and advanced skiers. Fitness enthusiasts can ski the 30 km long "Krkonoše Ski Trail" from Johannisbad over the Krkonoše ridge above Pec and Spindlermühle to Harrachov – an absolute highlight for every Nordic skier. Another popular route takes cross-country skiers on a 25 km journey from Medvedín around Špindlerův Mlýn via the Goldhöhe to the Plán plateau. Here you can enjoy cross-country skiing in beautiful surroundings above the tree line.
