Ski area Weisssee Glacier World
With its 23 kilometres of piste and 8 lifts, the ski area is rather tranquil, but the offer is first-class: The longest descent from Medelz to Enzingerboden measures a proud 9 km in length and covers a difference in altitude of 1,132 metres! For adrenaline fans, there is the challenge of the Zehnerhang, which offers a difference in altitude of 300 m over 2 km of descent.
The centrepiece of the ski area is the Weisssee, on the shores of which is the comfortable mountain hotel Rudolfshütte (2,315 m). There are also great deep powder snow and freeride areas on the Olympiahang and Saurüssel. The area is a paradise for ski tourers. Overall, the pistes are mostly easy, so that beginners have no problems making their first attempts on the boards.
For families with children, the Weisssee Glacier World offers a wide range of activities with a varied programme at the children's ski school, a children's restaurant and the natural toboggan run. Due to its high location above the tree line, the ski area is considered to be extremely snow-sure.
Après ski Weisssee Glacier World
In the winter season, there are traditional ski instructor evenings in the village, where locals and holidaymakers meet up in a convivial atmosphere. Après ski fans meet up in the evening at the Uttendorf disco. Thanks to its central location in Pinzgau, (shopping) excursions to Zell am See or Mittersill are practically a must!
