Cross-country Rußbach

Information on cross-country skiing

33 km Cross-country trails (in km):

The Dachstein region has an extensive network of cross-country tracks with around 223 km of laid trails. The entry point nearest to Rußbach can be found in Gosau (around 10 km away). Here a cross-country "El Dorado" with 33 km of cross-country track is awaiting Nordic sport fans, and can be used for free. Of these, 12 km are medium-difficulty and 21 km are easy trails. At 10.9 km, the "Dorfloipe" in Gosau is one of the longest in the region and offers plenty of variety for beginners and advanced winter sports enthusiasts.

In Abentau, around 15 km away, another 60 km laid track can be found, which goes around the resort centre and the Postalm. Some of the trails around Abtenau are also prepared for skate skiing. A 1 km long floodlit track in located in the Nordic-Center, which is lit every evening. The access points to the cross-country trails can be reached comfortably with the free ski bus.
