Cross-country Hinterstoder

Cross-country skiers have access to about 120 km of trails in the Pyhrn-Priel region, including challenging skating and high-altitude trails. Approx. 28 km of trails are located in the Stoder Valley around Hinterstoder. The Hinterstoder trail runs 24 km through the valley and offers great views of the surrounding summits of the Totes Gebirge. The diverse trail leads through meadows, parts of the forsest, along the river and also offers many occasions for a break.

A highlight for cross-country enthusiasts is the high-altitude trail at the Hutterer Böden in the ski area Hinterstoder Höss. It is located at 1,399 m and its 3.5 km are prepared for classic style, as well as skating style. The trail can be reached via the toll road or the 6-person gondola (lift pass required). A fee has to be paid for using the cross-country trails. Seasonal tickets are also available.
